This week, we’re excited to do our first product review! The lovely ladies at Soften Her, a softening treatment for your legs, bikini area or underarms, sent us a sample of their product to test out and here’s what I thought….
When Soften Her was first described to me, I was unsure what it was and how it would work because I haven’t seen another product quite like it. Normally, anything geared toward reducing ingrown hairs are small wipes, such as the Bliss Ingrown Eliminating Pads, which help remove established ingrown hairs. Soften Her, however, has a slightly different purpose: exfoliation and prevention.
Soften Her is an exfoliating pad, which you should use in between waxing or shaving to reduce itchiness/scratchiness and to prevent ingrown hairs.
Exfoliation is key when maintaining a clear and smooth complexion, so why wouldn’t we also exfoliate the areas we shave/wax and that are prone to ingrown hairs?
After using this product only a couple of times, I am hooked! It is simple and easy – it only takes a minute or two – and well worth it to have clear, smooth skin!
Here’s how Soften Her advertises their product:
“As women, we want the feeling of smooth skin regardless of hair growth. Now we can keep our intimate areas soft all the time. Whether it’s your bikini area, legs, or underarms, the prickly grow back hair can be an annoyance for you and your partner”
“Under magnification, freshly grown hair reveals sharp edges. Soften her not only softens these edges, but lightly exfoliates as well, which is your best defense against ingrown hairs…no matter what method of hair removal you choose. Soften Her leaves skin feeling smooth and inviting on all parts of the body. So put down that razor, ladies, and Soften Her!”
My package came with 3 Soften Her discs, which can each be used for up to a month or until dulled or dirty. According to the instructions, you are to insert your index and middle finger under the strap and press Soften Her to clean skin. Using a circular motion, you are to proceed clockwise and then counterclockwise against the hair for approximately 30 seconds.
It’s safe to say that I am a fan of Soften Her and will continue to use this product!
